Abstract

We provide the first report of the jaguar (Panthera onca) as a host of the black-legged tick (Ixodes scapularis). This is the first record of this ectoparasite in wild felids in Mexico.

Reportamos el primer registro de jaguar (Panthera onca) como un hospedero de la garrapata (Ixodes scapularis). Este registro constituye el primero para este ectoparásito en felinos silvestres en México.
