Linaria birjandensis Hamdi (Plantaginaceae) is described as a new species from South Khorasan Province of Iran. It resembles L. albifrons and L. boushehrensis, but differs from them by longer leaves, inflorescence, pedicel, bracts, and calyx, and by larger corolla and capsule, as well as by having a glandular-hairy (vs. glabrous) stem surface. The species' morphology, testa micromorphology, habitat and distribution are described.
