Abstract

A new species of the genus Hessebius Verhoeff, 1941 (Lithobiomorpha: Lithobiidae) is described, discovered in China. Hessebius longispinipes n. sp. was found in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The new species can be distinguished from all other Hessebius by its distinctive backwards, long terminal thorn of the second section of the female gonopods.
